    Abstract

    Reciprocal Learning is one of the learning models which aim at achieving objectives through self- regulated learning and being able to explain his/her findings to others. The research question is could the reciprocal learning applied on physics improve the self-regulated learning ability of the 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 11 Palembang? The purpose of the research are the students (1)apply reciprocal learning (2) improve self-regulated learning ability (3) improve there learning achievements. This is an classroom action research which consists of three cycle. Each cycle includes one main concept. Each cycle consists of four stages : (1) preparation (2) implementation (3) monitoring and evaluation (4) analysis and reflection. The results of the research show that the students are able to apply four strategies self-regulated learning an there is increase in learning achievement middle-group students have the greatest increase. The response of the students to reciprocal learningis quite positive and they hope they can apply this model to next lessons. On the basis of the interview with the teacher, this reciprocal learning could increase students’ creativity, motivations, and learning activities.
