      Abstract

      This quantitative and descriptive study is aimed at knowing and analyzing the implementation of horticultural agribusiness development program in the town of Pagar Alam, knowing the success of the Horticultural Agribusiness Development Program in Empowering the target groups in the town of Pagar Alam and knowing the dominant factors which influence the Horticultural Agribusiness Development Program in the town of Pagar Alam. The results of the study shows that the degree of obedience of the program executor towards technical instructions is sufficiently good, which is about 69.86%. The degree of obedience of the farmers’ groups Tani Jaya towards RUK is not good enough, namely 51.40% while that of Gema Makmur is good enough, 70.41%. The impact of the program on Tani Jaya is not good enough, namely about 39.22%, while that on Gema Makmur is good enough, namely 66.23%. The results of the test of difference (t-test) shows the existence of a difference in degree of success between the target farmers’ groups and the farmers’ groups which were not the the target groups. The farmers’ groups of Tani Jaya is more successful than the farmers’ group of Makmur I B (t-value 7.1140 > t table 2.0860). The farmers’ group of Gema Makmur is more successful than the farmers’ group of Makmur I A (t-value 9.0740 > t table 2.0860). During the implementation namely: Marketing the produce, climate, and type of commodity.
