    Abstract

    The objectives of this research are to (1) calculate volume and study inflow and outflow rice marketing in OKI regency, (2) identify marketing channeling form, market structure and rice marketing mechanism in OKI regency, and (3) calculate marketing efficiency rate and margin of institution respectly in rice marketing channeling and farmer’s share. The result of this research showed that rice production in OKI regecy was 3,683 ton each year and 30% from it was distributed to others regions, such as Bandar Lampung, Palembang and Kayu Agung in harvested season. Otherwise, in dry season these regency must be import from Lampung and other region. The farmer’s income from paddy farming is Rp 9,098,037 each hectare and year. He marketing institution involved are collected traders, whosellers and retailers. The market structure is perfect competation marjet in villages, otherwise monopsony market in whoseller. The price mechanizm in collected traders in villages and whosellers is “mark up pricing method”. Marketing efficiency value in collected traders are 2.71% and 2.66% in whosellers and 56,58% for farmer’s share value.
