    Abstract

    Abstract Facial expression is a natural way to express one's emotions. Facial expressions recognition using computer can be seen from the changes in the components of the face. This research applies Facial Characteristics Points (FCP) as a basis to see changes in the facial image. In this research, the expression of which is recognized by only four, such as neutral, angry, happy, and sad. Hybrid Artificial Neural Networks Back Propagation and Radial Base Function used to classification. The result of the research seen software can recognize human facial expressions well. The conclusion of this research is the FCP may be used as a basis for developing a Neural Network Architecture for recognition facial expressions.
