    Abstract

    Goal of Preliminary study is to find out database for continuing research and development "Developing Program of Science Practicum Course Supported Web in Distance Learning of Strata-l Elementary Teacher Education”. The research is to explore implementing Practical Science Course that used blended learning model in distance learning of Strata-1 Elementary Teacher Education. Blended learning model is combination between face to face and online learning. The research involved 100 students who were enrolled at even semester in 2007 and two faculty members. The students divided into two classrooms that each class was taught by a faculty member. Method of the research is qualitative and gathering data used interview and observation formats and documentary. The research found out that blended learning model at practical science course had run well although teaching and learning process in face to face term still might be revised such as (1) class too big, (2) using laboratory instead of classroom, (3) and using perforrnance test instead of paper and pencil test only. In online learning term, it was found that 20% students submitted assignments in time based on time schedule nevertheless 80% students submitted assignments in the end of term online learning and there was no online discussion forum.
