      Abstract

      Separation Gum In Nyamplung Oil (Crude Oil Calophyllum) Using Zeolite and Activated Carbon Become RCO (Refine Calophyllum Oil) The objective of this research was to separate the gum from the nyamplung oil and analyze characteristics CCO and RCO. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Agricultural Chemistry, Department of Agricultural Technology, University of Sriwijaya, in Januari to Juni 2011. This research use randomized block design factorial consists of two-factor factorial treatment with each factor consists of three levels of treatment and three replications. The first treatment factor was the type of purifier material (activated carbon, activated carbon + zeolite and zeolite), and the second treatment factor was the amount of bleach (1 gram, 5 gram, 10 grams). Parameters were viscosity, resin content, moisture content, (free faty acid) FFA and color. The results showed that the type zeolit activated carbon, each of it has significantly affect the viscosity, water content, the content of the sap, FFA and color. Interaction purifier material type and amount of bleach in a row had significant effect on viscosity, water content, the content of the sap; but it had not significant effect on FFA. The results showed that the combined treatment of activated carbon purifier material type + zeolite (A2B3) is the best treatment with a value of 59.16 cst viscosity, resin content of 0.91%, FFA 0.68%, 1.03% water content.
